Illustrative example with equal installments: each month the indicated percentage of the previous month’s fund is lent out and the interest returns to the fund. In NatIA Ahorro the actual distribution is proportional to each member’s savings and deducts each member’s expenses, events and loans.
The model
fund = previous fund + members × installment + month’s interest
each person receives = final fund / members

Questions about the natillera
What percentage of the fund should be lent?
It depends on the group: lending more earns more interest but leaves less liquidity and more risk of overdue payments. This tool lets you try out scenarios.
How is it actually distributed?
Interest is shared in proportion to each member’s savings-months, and event earnings equally; loans are deducted. Here, everyone is assumed to contribute the same amount.
What rate can be charged?
The group sets it. It should be in line with the rules that apply to it.
